The Coalition - Operations Committee

The Operations Committee is made up from a broad spectrum of stakeholders in District 1. Although the voting membership of the Committee is limited, all organizations who have a role in response efforts are invited to participate. The following list identifies individuals / organizations who have a membership position on the Operations Committee:

• Membership on the Regional Operations Committee should include:

  1. Each hospital located in the region    
  2. Each Medical Control Authority in the region
  3. Each Public Health Department in the region           
  4. Emergency Medical Service Organizations in the region      
  5. Local Emergency Management Coordinators           
  6. The District 1 MSP Emergency Management Coordinator   
  7. The District 1 MDCH Regional Epidemiologist
  8. Local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies 
  9. Medical examiner representative       
  10. Public information officers    
  11. American Red Cross  
  12. Regional Response Teams     
  13. Michigan State University     
  14. Pharmacy Workgroup Representative           
  15. Disaster Behavioral Health Services Workgroup Representative
  16. Public & Private Healthcare Institutions
  17. Long-Term Care Facilities

The Operations Committee provides leadership for District 1 planning efforts. In addition, the Operations Committee is the approval authority for recommendations submitted by the workgroups. Upon approval of recommendations, the Operations Committee submits the recommendation to the Planning Board for final review and approval.
